Manama, July 29 (BNA): Bahrain’s basketball team beat defending champions Egypt 91-85 in the fourth round of the 26th Arab Men’s Basketball Championship, held in Bahrain until August 2. Bahrain now has 6 points from two wins and two losses, while Egypt has 5 points from two wins and one loss, boosting Bahrain’s chances for a top spot.
Bahrain led after the first quarter (28-25) and maintained a narrow overall lead, securing the win with a strong final quarter (27-22).
Also, Tunisia recorded their fourth consecutive win by beating the UAE 78-70, and Algeria claimed their third victory with a 92-66 win over Qatar.
The championship continues tomorrow with Qatar vs UAE at 4 PM, Kuwait vs Algeria at 6 PM, and Tunisia vs Egypt later in the evening.
